There has been an increased curiosity about the story behind products consumers buy, the origin, social and environmental ramifications of the production of the raw materials in the product. Consumers are becoming more sensitive about the chain of custody engaged by processors before the final product is achieved and want to be sure that the raw materials in products, they love are from deforestation free areas, with zero child or forced labor. The CJ sustainability program has been strategically set up to address the basic concerns of processors and their consumers while beneficiary farmers enjoy higher productivity, increased incomes, and improved living conditions.
